Can I use the warranty of my laptop if my laptop was bought from other than the original owner?

It was bought from a friend of mine who had not any original documents or reciepts. It is under good warranty to be fixed under any circumstances. Physical repairs are included in warranty.

Hello, it all depends what kind of laptop you are using. I work for Apple, and I know, we can trace you out using our system and can honor the warranty. However, if you own a mac, and take computer at one of the Apple’s approved repair shops, then you are required to present the receipt and documentations.

You can also call your computer manufacturer and find out about their policiy. Also you can ask your friend where the laptop was purchased, sometimes, retailer may be able to issue a receipt.

Basically, answer to your question is “yes” or “no”, as it all depends on the company’s policy who sold the computer or who is a manufacturer.

Apple computers warranties are transferable, check your computer manufacturer, may be your warranty is transerferable as well.
