Jeep Cherokee?
I have a 93 jeep grand cherokee laredo with tranny problems. In order to drive it I have to put at least two quarts of trans fluid a day. I was wondering where possibly is it leaking from because it leaks the most in reverse, but it also leaks in any gear. (How much estimating do you think it will cost me?) (6.0cyc,4.0ltengine)
It really is hard to say where it is leaking from,you will have to get down there and visually inspect it while the car is running IN PARK! If you are lucky, it is leaking from the transmission pan, which is a low cost fix. How many miles are on it? It may be leaking from the rear or front main, or both. If this is the case, it is worth taking it to a transmission shop and having them pull it and rebuild it with a shift kit. If it is high in miles, it would really suck to have them pull it and put a new seal in it, only to have them pull it again in a day, a week, a month ect when the transmission wont shift. Good luck!
